About Lyn

lynI am honored to be an Astrologer. Studying my own chart for over 30 years has helped me find a balance in my life that I would not have without the knowledge granted me by following the cycles of my life through Astrology. I have Sun conjunct Uranus. One of the things this means is I have always been independent and eager to push the rules. My very conservative childhood was often at odds with this drive. I started studying Astrology when I was 24, and for the first time I understood that I was right on track.

It is now over 30 years later and I have reinvented myself many times. I have re-purposed from a 28 year profession as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.  I have completed certification as an Evolutionary Astrologer with Steven Forrest. Adding this knowledge to my previous studies of Humanistic and Mythic Astrology allows me to explore your soul’s intent in this lifetime and then describe it in real down to earth ways. Recently I’ve also started studying Shamanistic Astrology. This mixes Astronomy and Astrology together in actually watching the Night Sky.

I have always been primarily a visual learner. Even knowing the language of Astrology, I have left readings wondering what had just been said. It is important to me that one’s map is understandable. That is why I use pictures along with words to illustrate the meanings of the Archetypes and how they work in one’s life.  Knowing how to integrate the information gained from your chart into your daily life is most important to me.

I’ve been active in many Women’s Circles and have participated in the Initiations of several young women. I feel very strongly that it is important to honor the milestones in our lives and some of the most important are when our girls become women and when a woman enters her Grandmother Moon time. If we as women do not honor our cycles how can we expect to find balance in life? When my Son became a man he also participated in an Initiation with the men in his life. I celebrate men honoring their Cycles too! And this brings us full circle, after all Astrology is the study of Life’s Cycles.

    I have always thought Astrology and other fortune telling was just making up stuff that may or may not really be true. Call me a skeptic. I thought I’d try a reading with Lyn, mostly to prove to myself that there really isn’t anything behind Astrology. I’m still skeptical but Lyn talked about me in ways that my Mother doesn’t even know me. She actually helped me get clear on what’s going on in my life right now. I’m in a time that is very confusing and she was able to help me understand what I could do to get through it. She didn’t make the situation go away but I feel like I have more power in handling it.
